Otsutsuki benefits and progression priorities

Otsutsuki gives you access to five chakra points, Blood Weapons, and Byakugan, with Moon Rags supporting your chakra recovery. Your biggest decisions are how to obtain the clan and which unlocks to pursue first. Eating Chakra Fruit also affects your existing abilities and can determine your clan after reincarnation.

BloxInformer's Otsutsuki entry outlines the clan's main features, while Oliver's Otsutsuki progression video explains training requirements and fruit-related reincarnation rules.

FeatureWhat you gainProgression priority
Five chakra pointsThe ability to break a fifth chakra pointUnderstand its effect on reincarnation if you used Chakra Fruit
Blood WeaponsAdditional bleed damage from weapon hitsObtain a Bloodbite Ring and unlock the passive
ByakuganEye progression through stage threeBuild Combat EXP, then practice activations and perfect blocks
Moon RagsClan armor that increases chakra regenerationCollect 300 Ryo and a Redsmith's Mold for the upgrade

BloxInformer also identifies Otsutsuki characters by their white hair, skin, and eyes, with names ending in “Shiki.” These appearance details help distinguish the clan, but its progression centers on the unlocks above.

Work on Combat EXP while collecting equipment materials. That keeps your eye progression moving while you search for a ring or obtain the required boss drop.

How to get Otsutsuki and manage Chakra Fruit

BloxInformer reports a 1% chance of receiving Otsutsuki during character creation. Oliver describes Robux-funded clan rolls and says an Otsutsuki obtained through rolling remains your clan permanently. These accounts describe rolling differently, so keep the 1% figure tied to BloxInformer's character-creation method rather than assuming it applies to every roll.

Chakra Fruit provides the other route. Both guides mention exceptionally rare tree spawns. Oliver additionally identifies corrupted chakra points and boss rewards as possible fruit sources, while BloxInformer lists only trees. Those additional acquisition methods are reported by Oliver's video.

Conversion also changes what carries over from your previous clan. According to Oliver:

  • Previous active clan skills carry over until reincarnation, with exceptions involving your eyes.
  • Previous clan passives do not carry over.
  • Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, or EMS, reverts to Mangekyo Sharingan.
  • A Hyuga's fourth-stage Byakugan drops to stage three.

These tradeoffs matter before you eat a fruit. An established Uchiha or Hyuga should weigh the extra Otsutsuki options against the loss of passives and advanced eye progression.

Oliver describes the following outcomes when a character who became Otsutsuki through fruit reincarnates:

Age at reincarnationFifth chakra pointReported outcome
32 or youngerBroken or unbrokenKeep Otsutsuki permanently
33 or olderUnbrokenKeep Otsutsuki permanently
33 or olderBrokenClan is rerolled

Under these reported rules, a reroll requires both being at least 33 and having broken the fifth chakra point. Leaving that point unbroken is the route Oliver describes for preserving Otsutsuki regardless of age.

The video recommends checking your reroll status in game before reincarnating. Reincarnation also ends the carryover of your previous clan's progression. A character who already obtained Otsutsuki through rolling does not need Chakra Fruit for the clan's standard unlocks.

Unlock Blood Weapons

Blood Weapons apply more bleed damage per hit than ordinary weapons. You first need a Bloodbite Ring, which can appear as random map loot, come from destroying corrupted chakra crystals, or drop from bosses with dedicated boss areas.

Once you have the ring:

  1. Travel to Biyo Bay and find the secret area containing The Deprived Damsel.
  2. Press E to open the secret entrance if it is closed.
  3. Speak to The Deprived Damsel.
  4. Select the third dialogue option, “I want to do more with blood”.

Oliver explains that the unlock continues to apply when you change weapons. You do not need to repeat the ring quest for every replacement, which makes it useful even while you are using an inexpensive starter weapon.

The ring unlock and your weapon choice are separate decisions. Complete the clan interaction when you can, then choose a weapon whose attacks you can land consistently.

If you completed The Deprived Damsel's Chakra Shard quest and she has disappeared, Oliver describes an alternate trigger. Keep the Bloodbite Ring in your inventory, then rejoin the server or reset. He says the ring will be consumed and the Blood Weapon passive awarded.

That alternate trigger is a video-reported fallback. Check that you received the passive afterward before treating the unlock as complete.

Awaken Byakugan and progress to stage three

Otsutsuki follows the Hyuga awakening process, but its Byakugan progression ends at stage three. The fourth stage belongs to Hyuga.

Begin by earning Combat EXP. Activities described for building it include hitting other players while they block, blocking their attacks, and performing perfect blocks. After accumulating enough experience, you need to get knocked down. Oliver describes the awakening occurring when you recover.

An unsuccessful attempt can mean you need more Combat EXP. Continue training before trying again: getting knocked down triggers the awakening after you meet the experience requirement.

For later stages, Oliver recommends activating Byakugan frequently and perfect blocking other players, then speaking to the Hyuga Elder about an upgrade. His approximate training targets are:

Progression stepApproximate training targetNext action
Stage one to stage twoAbout 10 activations and 25 perfect blocksAsk the Hyuga Elder about upgrading
Stage two to stage threeAbout 10 activations and 25 perfect blocks for this stageReturn to the Hyuga Elder
Stage three to stage fourUnavailable to OtsutsukiStage three is this clan's limit

Treat those numbers as approximate targets from Oliver's video, rather than guaranteed thresholds. Work on both activation and perfect blocking before checking with the elder.

The stage-four restriction is consistent across BloxInformer and Oliver's guide. Once you reach stage three, direct your remaining progression toward equipment and your chosen combat setup.

Upgrade Moon Rags and choose a build

Moon Rags is Otsutsuki's starting armor and increases chakra regeneration. Its upgrade is a separate goal from Blood Weapons and Byakugan, so gather the materials while training your other unlocks.

The upgrade requires 300 Ryo and a Redsmith's Mold. Obtain the mold by defeating the Barbarian boss, then bring it and the money to The Redsmith.

Armor serviceWhat you needWhere to go
Upgrade Moon Rags300 Ryo and a Redsmith's MoldThe Redsmith
Buy Moon Rags again after changing armor1 RyoThe area containing The Deprived Damsel in Biyo Bay

Buying another armor does not permanently remove access to Moon Rags. Its 1 Ryo replacement purchase lets you return to the clan armor afterward. Keep that replacement price separate from the 300 Ryo upgrade cost when planning your spending.

Once your core unlocks are underway, JustH's Otsutsuki build video offers one optional direction: Lightning/Chidori with a heavy Executioner Blade, supported by Blood Weapons and repeated basic attacks, commonly called M1s.

His setup keeps normal dash with Agile, skipping Lightning Dash and Stamina Dash. The build centers on using that movement setup alongside Chidori and frequent weapon hits.

Treat this as a creator's build example. Practice the movement and weapon rhythm before committing your character around it. The general clan progression remains useful across weapon choices because the Blood Weapons unlock carries over when you equip a different weapon.

FAQ

What is a practical progression order?

The recommended order in this bloodlines otsutsuki guide is to secure clan access, build Combat EXP, unlock Blood Weapons, and upgrade Moon Rags. Continue Byakugan training while collecting the ring and mold so your equipment search also advances your eyes.

Can Otsutsuki get fourth-stage Byakugan?

No. Otsutsuki reaches stage three; stage four is exclusive to Hyuga. Oliver also reports that a fourth-stage Hyuga who eats Chakra Fruit falls back to third-stage Byakugan.

Does Chakra Fruit make Otsutsuki permanent?

Oliver's video says this depends on your age and fifth chakra point when reincarnating. Being 32 or younger, or leaving the fifth point unbroken, preserves Otsutsuki permanently. Being at least 33 with the fifth point broken causes a clan reroll.

Do I need another Bloodbite Ring after changing weapons?

According to Oliver, changing weapons does not require repeating the Blood Weapons unlock. Complete the ring interaction once, then choose the weapon that suits your build.
