Weapon types and combat roles

Your weapon in Bloodlines shapes your attack speed, reach, combos, and ability to pressure blocking opponents. Finding a rare weapon is only part of the process: schematic equipment can also require the matching weapon mastery. Knowing your path and its requirements helps you avoid traveling to a hidden weapon before you can obtain it.

Weapons serve as your main tools for dealing damage and executing enemies. The Roblox Bloodlines Wiki on Fandom describes distinct weapon paths with their own skill trees and combat styles.

Weapon groupCombat roleExamples
KunaisFast attacks combining close combat and throwingKunai, Raijin Kunai
SwordsBalanced melee fightingSword, Kusanagi
SpearsMelee attacks with extended reachSpear, Adamantine Staff
GreatswordsHeavy attacks emphasizing damageGreatsword, Executioner's Blade, Samehada, Gunbai
BowsAttacks from very long rangeSteel Bow, Chakra Bow

BloxInformer organizes its weapon page into four categories, while Fandom additionally includes bows. Bow equipment therefore belongs in the weapon overview even though it is absent from BloxInformer's four-category list.

Weapon locations and acquisition

Basic weapons are available in several regions, while named weapons lead you toward hideouts, concealed rooms, and other specific locations. The following locations agree across BloxInformer's weapon page and Fandom where both list the item; the two bow entries come from Fandom.

Biyo BayKunai, SwordKunais and swords

Akatsuki HideoutGunbaiGreatswords
Hoshikagi HideoutSamehadaGreatswords
Flaming PitSteel Bow, Chakra BowBows

The standard Kunai, Sword, Spear, and Greatsword are each listed with Silver, Gold, and Onyx versions.

Acquisition instructions differ between public guides. BloxInformer describes named weapons as purchases, but a YouTube weapon-location walkthrough shows schematic and mastery requirements for several of them. The Miraheze wiki separately describes blacksmith crafting. Treat the table as a location reference and check the weapon's displayed requirements before assuming currency alone is enough.

The walkthrough also places Asuma knives at the Training Grounds near the spears. It does not establish enough detail to compare their stats or material options with the other kunais.

Some hidden entrances require interaction rather than simply walking through them. The walkthrough demonstrates concealed passages for Raijin Kunai and Adamantine Staff, plus an underwater approach to Samehada. Its explanation of access to the Akatsuki Hideout is uncertain, so a definite membership requirement for obtaining Gunbai has not been officially confirmed.

Materials, gem infusion, and special effects

Material choice has conflicting descriptions. BloxInformer calls weapon variations cosmetic, while Fandom describes differences in damage and gem compatibility. Because those claims directly disagree, do not assume that changing material only changes appearance. Fandom's progression model is summarized below.

Version described by FandomRelative damage descriptionGem infusion
SteelLowest material-tier damageCan accept gems
GoldMiddle material-tier damageRequires an infusion skill
OnyxHighest material-tier damageCannot accept gems
Schematic weaponsIndividual properties rather than a shared damage tierUsually cannot accept gems

There is also a naming mismatch: the weapon lists use Silver, but Fandom's material explanation uses Steel. Whether those names refer to the same tier has not been officially confirmed. Check the actual item name and available infusion interaction when deciding what to equip.

The Bloodlines Wiki on Miraheze documents additional weapon effects. Its page is marked as unfinished, so the following details should be read as community documentation, especially the precise damage multipliers.

Weapon or pathEffect documented by MirahezeRelevant interaction
SamehadaAbsorbs chakra on basic M1 hitsListed damage is 1.35× standard greatsword damage, rising to 1.45× for Hoshigaki members
KusanagiAdds damage to lightning and Chidori techniquesSupports those techniques alongside sword combat
GunbaiProvides the Gunbai Twister techniqueCreates a damaging whirlwind
Base GreatswordGains hyperarmor on M1 and M2 attacks during Hyper RoarThe effect depends on Hyper Roar being active

Fandom also identifies a Samehada damage bonus for Hoshigaki members, supporting the existence of a clan interaction. The exact multipliers come specifically from Miraheze. Likewise, Kusanagi's technique bonuses and Gunbai Twister are Miraheze details rather than effects independently described by every weapon guide.

Schematics and weapon mastery

A schematic does not necessarily unlock its weapon by itself. The YouTube walkthrough explains that players can have both the blueprint and required currency but still fail to craft because they have not unlocked the corresponding weapon path.

Its demonstrated skill route passes through Gold Infusion and Chip Damage, then reaches these weapon-specific unlocks:

  • Kunai Throw: the kunai path used for Raijin Kunai.
  • Blinding Strike: the sword path used for Kusanagi.
  • Twin Strike: the spear path used for Adamantine Staff.
  • Greatsword Training: the greatsword path used for weapons such as Samehada and Executioner's Blade.

At a chakra point, open the skills interface and check the path matching your intended weapon.

Miraheze describes another part of progression: weapon schematics can drop from bosses and corrupted points, and schematics plus alloys are taken to the Fort Melo Blacksmith for forging and refinement. It specifically names Gunbai, Executioner, and Samehada schematics, but does not establish complete recipes or drop rates.

Reaching Executioner's Blade

The YouTube walkthrough describes a side quest before entering the area leading to Executioner's Blade. Its preparation involves three mangoes and two chicken legs, which are cooked into food for a hidden NPC near the oasis.

The demonstrated sequence is:

  1. Prepare the food using the three mangoes and two chicken legs.
  2. Find the hidden oasis NPC and complete the food-related quest.
  3. Speak to the NPC again and purchase the key.
  4. Use the key at the concealed entrance, then follow the route toward Serpent Cove.
  5. Navigate the traps and exploding enemies to reach the weapon's hidden area.

The walkthrough also shows a button and an elevator along the route. Reaching the blade does not remove its crafting requirements: bring the relevant schematic and unlock Greatsword Training before attempting to obtain it.

Soul-binding and weapon care

Miraheze states that dying with zero Life Force wipes your inventory. Its documented protection for an equipped weapon is permanent soul-binding at the Training Grounds. This makes binding a practical follow-up after obtaining equipment you want to keep.

The wiki gives this process:

  • Collect Chakra Fragments through mission boards, one-time quests, or boss drops.
  • Travel to the Training Grounds.
  • Equip the weapon you want to preserve.
  • Speak with the Weapon Binder NPC and bind that weapon to your soul.

Miraheze also states that weapons have no durability. Combat use therefore does not gradually wear them out or break them. Inventory loss on a wipe is a separate concern from weapon wear, which is why soul-binding matters even without a repair system.

FAQ

Where should I start looking for bloodlines weapons?

Visit Biyo Bay for basic kunais and swords, the Training Grounds for spears, or Rosemary Pit for a basic greatsword. Fandom lists both Steel Bow and Chakra Bow at Flaming Pit. Named weapons have separate locations and may require schematics and mastery.

Why can't I craft a weapon when I already have its schematic?

The YouTube walkthrough identifies missing weapon mastery as a reason crafting fails despite having a schematic and currency. Check your skills at a chakra point and unlock the path corresponding to that weapon.

Are Silver, Gold, and Onyx weapons only cosmetic?

The public guides disagree. BloxInformer describes cosmetic variations, while Fandom assigns different damage and infusion properties to materials. Fandom also calls the lowest tier Steel rather than Silver. Verify the item's displayed properties instead of treating either description as universally settled.

Does Samehada work differently for Hoshigaki members?

Both Fandom and Miraheze describe a damage benefit for Hoshigaki users. Miraheze additionally lists chakra absorption on M1 hits and specific damage multipliers. Those precise values appear on its unfinished community wiki page.

Can I prevent a valuable weapon from being lost?

According to Miraheze, you can permanently soul-bind your equipped weapon through the Weapon Binder at the Training Grounds using Chakra Fragments. Its weapon page recommends this protection because death at zero Life Force wipes inventory.
